The InSIDE project logo depicts six same-sized round icons in an equidistance circular layout, meaning that each one is of the same importance; they surround a seventh bigger size round icon, the most prominent one, thus most important, which is in the centre of this circular layout. All six peripheral icons are connected via three concentric dotted circles meaning that they all interact and affect each other. The overall impression of the logo could be an abstract sketch of six satellites orbiting a central planet, a harmonious symmetrical gravitational orbiting system formed by seven interdependent bodies (depicted in 2 dimensions). Each icon is in the form of an abstract white line drawing, centred in a coloured circle serving as the background of each icon. The central icon symbolizes the general field of the project, i.e. education. To convey this meaning the icon of a graduation hat (the square academic cap) has been selected. The central icon’s background circle is blue, and this colour stands for infrastructure and means to be utilised for the project’s goals. Satellite icons have alternately blue and red circular backgrounds. The blue ones: a mouse pointer/arrow outline (positioned at 6 o’clock) symbolizes the digital world as the project’s approach to learning; a book connected with a mouse device via a cable (positioned at 10 o’clock) symbolizes the adapted educational material in electronic form, accessible through the computer; a computer screen showing checkmarks in front of lines of text (positioned at 2 o’clock), symbolizes an educational platform or Learning Management System. The red ones concern disabilities that the projects aims to overpass or facilitate: a person on a wheelchair outline (positioned at 12 o’clock), symbolizes individuals with mobility/physical impairments; an ear with a diagonal line crossing it (positioned at 4 o’clock), symbolizes individuals with hearing impairments; an eye with a diagonal line crossing it (positioned at 8 o’clock), symbolizes individuals with visual impairments.
